Impact Bonding
Impact-bottom cookware is a type of stainless steel cookware with a layered base designed to enhance cooking performance. The base typically includes a layer of aluminum sandwiched between stainless steel layers. This is done through a high-pressure impact bonding process, which permanently fuses the metals.
Key Features of Impact-Bottom Cookware:
- Enhanced Heat Distribution: The aluminum core in the base conducts heat efficiently, preventing hot spots and ensuring even cooking.
- Durability: The stainless steel exterior resists corrosion, scratches, and warping, making it suitable for long-term use.
- Versatility: Compatible with all stovetops, including induction, thanks to the magnetic stainless steel outer layer.
- Ease of Cleaning: Stainless steel surfaces are typically easy to clean and are dishwasher safe.
- Energy Efficiency: The impact-bonded base reduces cooking time by distributing heat evenly and retaining it for longer periods.
Advantages of Impact-Bottom Cookware Over Regular Stainless Steel Cookware
- Better Heat Retention: Regular stainless steel cookware without an impact-bonded base may not conduct or retain heat as efficiently.
- Induction Compatibility: The added magnetic layer ensures the cookware works on induction cooktops.
- Professional Quality: Often preferred by chefs and home cooks for its superior performance.
Testing Facility and Quality Control / Certifications
Handle Fatigue Test
A fatigue test for steel evaluates how the material performs under cyclic loading to determine its fatigue strength, endurance limit, or failure characteristics.
Handle Bending Strength Test
A bending strength test, often referred to as a flexural test, evaluates a material's ability to resist deformation or failure under a bending load.
Burst Strength Test
A burst strength test evaluates a material's ability to withstand pressure applied until it fails by bursting.
Handle Torque Test
A torque test evaluates a material, component, or fastener's ability to withstand rotational forces until failure or a specified limit.
Handle Torque Test
A torque test measures the capacity of a material or component to withstand rotational force (torque) applied to it.
Dishwasher
Testing steel components for dishwashers involves evaluating their performance under conditions they will encounter during operation, such as exposure to water, detergents, heat, and mechanical stress.
Staining Test
A staining test for steel evaluates the material's resistance to corrosion, discoloration, and staining, especially in environments where it will be exposed to moisture, chemicals, and heat.
Glass Lid Ball Drop Test
The Glass Lid Ball Drop Test evaluates the impact resistance of a steel lid with a glass component by simulating the effects of an object, like a ball, being dropped onto it.
Moisture Test
A moisture test for steel evaluates the material's resistance to the effects of moisture, such as corrosion, rusting, or loss of mechanical properties.
Weight Measurement
Weight measurement for steel is a common test to assess changes in mass, particularly when evaluating the effects of corrosion, oxidation, or other environmental influences over time.
Hot & Cold Deflectiontest
A Hot & Cold Deflection Test evaluates the material's ability to maintain its shape and integrity under varying temperature conditions, typically involving both high and low temperatures.
Corrosion Resistance Test
A Corrosion Resistance Tester evaluates a material's ability to withstand corrosion in various environmental conditions.
Thermal Shock Test Equipment (LPG Oven)
A Thermal Shock Test evaluates a material's ability to withstand rapid temperature changes without failing.
Utensils Thermal Shock Test (Dry Heat Test)
A Thermal Shock Test (Dry Heat Test) for utensils, such as cookware made from steel or other metals, evaluates their ability to withstand rapid temperature changes without failing.
